Nope. Will be cremated and no ceremony of any kind. I’m not burdening my son with that shit. I’ve gone through it with my first wife and my Dad. It’s a sham and emotionally draining. I know my mom wants the full shabang. It will not be that waste of her money.

Ultimate Warrior theme
Toss casket or urn in the ocean..I don’t give a f*ck
Dream would be to die in Antarctica in Ultimate Warrior shirt(sleeve’s cut off)..polar bear drag me to the cave
Like Luke on Hoth
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

I was thinking of trying to do something stupid/funny.
Maybe start the service off with the Final Countdown.
Then have everyone look at a monitor to see a special recorded video of me prior to my passing, only for it to be Ric Astley so I can ric roll them all.

I was also thinking that I would have the bottom half of my casket open and when they walk up they would look at my hand making an ok sign below my waist.

Then eventually, open the half where my face is to something like Bringing Sexy Back. Or maybe I'm too Sexy would be better.

But, I probably won't get to do any of that because my wife wants us to retire in the Philippines. I don't think my death plans would go over quite as well there...

It’s the way to do it. My mom has not made her arrangements nor written down her wishes. It will be up to me as the only child. I tried to convince her to do cremation when my dad died. Nope. We had the week long planning, paying, hours of open casket visitation, funeral, graveside, military rights, everything. It was horrible and made us all sick from the emotional toll.

I agree.
The last thing I want to do is leave my wife with a big funeral bill.

My wife and kids have been instructed to cremate me and tell no one. Then, months later when they run into people and people ask, “How’s Rob?” They can say, “Hell, he croaked six months ago!”

But if they do decide to have a celebration of life they have been instructed to have a large “Live, Laugh, Love” sign with an X thru “Live”.
