I mentioned in another thread before that I always like Joan Jett OK and some of the Runaways stuff until I saw that doc on Joan a few years ago where she belly-aches about how women rockers had it so tough and no one took them seriously. Like if those four chicks had been born with a cock and balls anyone would have given them a second look. They were literally a novelty act. How do they not realize this?

Um, Joan, you are only famous BECAUSE you are/were a pretty girl and your singer was in her underwear. No one was holding back any of your genius musical talent because you were not a dude. It’s LITERALLY the opposite of that. It’s also weird that she is treated like some hero of the LGBT community now that she figured out how to keep her career rolling based on the movement de jour after decades of cock-teasing teenage boys and hiding her sexual preference. So brave. Isn’t that like the exact opposite of “brave” and on par with being a complete enabler of the anti-gay sentiment of that time?
