I might go. He's playing a venue I've never been to up here, so might be nice to do something different.

It's at the HOB/Boston, which sucks as it's mostly standing room on a cement floor with nowhere to lean. Although, I wouldn't imagine he'll play for more than 90 minutes.

Roy and Adrian would be icing on the cake for sure. Thinking about it if Bruce doesn't have a Maiden gig neither does Adrian, and why the F is Roy not there??

It does seem Bruce has a HUGE amount of energy to just constantly gig, I'd be exhausted personally. It seems like a big commitment to tour like this and then continue with the Maiden schedule.

That being said I saw this lineup last year at Sweden Rock front row and it was SO good!! People going nutso, singing along to all the words, etc. Bruce and Co were all in fine form, great lineup and good times!

At HOB Anaheim you can go VIP and sit upstairs at almost any event if you want to splurge, look into it, maybe Boston is the same.

As far as standing, I don't get it though. Most concerts if you are up front you stand the entire time anyways if the performer is worth a shit. Bruce rejects your metal cred!!

HOB/Boston, there's "maybe" 100 VIP seats upstairs. If they are even made available for general purchase (most times they hold them back for the band/clients etc.) they sell out immediately because everyone knows the HOB/Boston sucks. Not only cuz you gotta stand, but the good sightline spots in GA are also at a premium. Especially if a show sells out, which I would think this will. I get it and will stand if I have to, I just don't want to.

He's NOT playing the House of Blues in Chicago (which I have been to plenty of times), he's playing the Riviera Theater, which is down the street from the Aragon Ballroom (which I've also been to before).

Not sure how I've never gone to the Riviera, but it IS specifically a theater, so I think possibly rock shows just don't end up there very often, because it's not like the House of Blues with just an open floorplan.

Dunno why Bruce is playing there necessarily, the HOB here isn't booked that far out, but the Riviera is slightly larger, so maybe they thought they could move a few more tickets. /shrug

I've been to the Riviera several times, I've seen Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, King Diamond, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Fear Factory, The Cars, and probably a few others there before. I'm seeing BOC there in the summer. It has about a 2300 capacity. It is also run by Jam Productions, so they probably gave Bruce a better deal than whatever Live Nation offered. Jam also promoted his spoken word tour a few years ago in Chicago.

How were the shows there? My only point of reference for old school theaters are Chicago, Pabst and the Arcada.

The shows are good. However, the sound has a lot to be desired if you’re under underneath the balcony. They did completely redo it a few years ago, so maybe that has improved. I haven’t been there since 2019.

This might be a good time to confess that Tattooed Millionaire is the only Maiden related album I own.

Was that a one off or do any of his other solo albums have that melodic hard rock style?

"Devil On A Hog", from "Tyranny Of Souls", sounds out of place on the cd and sounds like it should have been on "Tattooed Millionaire".
