What’s Stevie Salas’ best album ?

The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

I dunno, but I have one of his amps sitting in my kitchen. It has a dick drawn on it in sharpie by Rod Stewart.

Don't know that much about him, but "The Harder They Come" from his 1990 debut is a pretty good funky hard rock song.

A-fucking men.

It's Colorcode, btw.

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

I haven't heard his name in many years. I just checked his discog & man, he has played on/released a ton of stuff. Fired up to do a deep dive & check what this dude has been up to the last 30 years!
Was he "Little Stevie Salas" at any point?

Big Salas fan here.

His debut, Stevie Salas Colorcode is great, very raw straight forward funky rock.

Back From The Living is fantastic as well, Tell Your Story Walkin is killer.

I’m also a big Alter Native fan.

His last great album was Soulblasters Of The Universe, another funk rock fest.

One of my faves by him is Electric Pow Wow, a mostly covers album with tons of guests like Richie Kotzen, Sass Jordan, Zakk Wylde, Bernard Fowler, Glenn Hughes, and a bunch more.

Another great project was Nicklebag which was Stevie and Bernard Fowler.

Love "Soulblasters" and the first Colorcode album. Would also recommend the last Colorcode album "Set It On Blast!"

Nicklebag stuff is great too!

Find Hardware: Third Eye Open. And I do mean find, because it's OOP and it isn't streaming. I think the tracks are on YT.

Currently on both Spotify and Apple Music, but Third Eye Open as artist and Hardware the album title. My original Japanese copy from 1992 has the band as Third Eye and the album title Hardware (not Third Eye Open.)
