I paid $100 for the Armored Saint M&G. Prolly 6-8 fans, band was super cool, signed everything we had, chatted, and took pictures. I’m glad I did it because I love the band, but I wouldn’t do it again.

I get it from a band's POV. Easy money. As a fan, I just don't. Gotten some autographs and signed merch through the years and have no clue where they are now. Probably a landfill. Even if I still had them, I'm not hanging that garbage on my wall. It isn't like you're going to Tee Jaye's for the Barnyard Buster and casual conversation. I've wasted money on other shit though.

Frankly, 90% of the bands who do them wouldn't be able to tour like they do if they didn't do them.

I guess $20-30 each to meet various Kiss members in the 90s pre-reunion. If that counts, as the fee wasn't specifically to meet the person but to get into the event with tribute bands playing etc.
This was around my (second) peak Kisstardom, and felt like the last chance to meet any of them, so it was worth it for me then even if Peter Criss, Vinnie Vincent and Ace Frehley are far from the most fan friendly musicians. Vinnie was actually the nicest of the three which doesn't say much, but there was at least some interaction, Peter was visibly unhappy but signed the agreed five items, Ace was probably hung over and didn't look up or say a word - but signed my s/t and Dynasty covers so I have them signed by the original four.

Never paid to meet anyone except those three, was at backstage m&gs for a few other bands (Sabbath w/Martin, Yngwie w/JLT, Europe...) but didn't pay, just knew whose arse to kiss

I run all the Meet & Greets at the Fillmore here in Maryland and have always thought there’s no way I’d ever do it …. and now I’m doing my first one tomorrow in Vegas to meet Down. $100. They’re one of my faves and don’t tour much so fuck it. We’ll see how it goes ….

About 15 years ago, I paid $30 to meet Uli Jon Roth. It was great. He was extremely generous with his time, and signed three LPs for me.

For the meet n greet they were out of character. At first I barely even recognized bubbles. Of course I was hammered, it was a TPB show after all. I must’ve have come in a little hot, I can still remember the look on Rob Wells face, like oh shit he lit AF. Imagine out drinking “Ricky”.

Of the three, Julian was the most personable. He almost read as being a bit shy and perfectly happy to focus only on one person and have a normal conversation.
