Geoff Tate: Operation Mindcrime - The Final Chapter Tour
Checked out the Geoff Tate: Operation Mindcrime - The Final Chapter tour last night in Milwaukee. He sold out the Pabst Theater (capacity about 1,300). Geoff sounded great, and his band was solid. Started with Operation Mindcrime in its entirety, which was awesome. He pretty much played the songs straight through with little to no crowd interraction. After Mindcrime he did a mix of Empire songs and Mindcrime 2 songs. Unfortunately the mix was 3 Empire songs and 5 Mindcrime 2 songs. This provided a good chance to grab a drink and go to the bathroom. For the encore they came out with Take Hold of the Flame and Queen of the Ryche, and killed it. Overall it was very good show. Highly recommend.

I'm annoyed I didn't see him when he was here a few weeks ago. Just had too many other things going on at the time. Glad to hear it was a good show.

Saw him a couple of years ago and he was great. Will pass on this. OMC2 was terrible.

Nope. He seemed like he was in a great mood.Black Stuff wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:23 am was the vest acting like a bi*ch? Did he take anyone's phone?

The OMC2 songs definitely slowed the show down, but he did a good job of breaking them up with Empire songs. The downside for me is the one song that I actually like on OMC2, The Hands, was not one of the OMC2 songs he played.DemonFilth2001 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 10:07 am Saw him a couple of years ago and he was great. Queensryche were one of my first favorite bands so I've seen them a lot over the years, but only once each (Queensryche/Geoff Tate) after the split. With that said, I have this show on the calendar, a Wednesday night in October. If I'm not doing anything, maybe, but probably not.

Yes - Tomas McCarthy is the opener. He's very good! He comes on at 8:00pm and plays for about 45-50 mins. Geoff usually comes on around 9:15.greengoblinrulz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 8:05 am Might be going tonight, is there an opener & when does he go on (weekday diffierent?)
