I'm gonna wait until Friday to listen to the full album. I've only heard Satanized so far.

Every Ghost song it seems, needs two listens and then every one after you're amazed at how fucking great Tobias Forge is.

Re: Ghost - "Peacefield"
I guess I will never be amazed at how fucking great Tobias Forge is because I can't even get through a Ghost song once. I am usually done after the first chorus. I have tried to like them, but frankly, I just find them pretty crappy. His voice irritates me. Sounds pretty bland. The songs all seem to be copy and paste. No natural flow from 1 part to the next.
This is the best Ghost song

Got to the "Separate Ways" rip off and heard enough.....
Haven't heard anything by them that isn't derivative.....not for me.

This board will love Missilia Amori. It’s total 80s cheese. New album is available if anyone interested. DM me.

Really solid song. Again, Ghost and its crystal clear production sounds amazing. If Queensryche recorded this song in 1990, they would have been kings of the genre.

I listened to the album this morning in the gym. It's a weird thing. I like Ghost and the album, yet it feels and sounds 100% the same to me as the last album. Duh, right? Formulaic works for AC/DC, blah blah. I have this unfounded expectation that if Tobias is moving the schtick of the lore forward, the music will also take new directions. Same stuff...melodic 80s mixed with a bit of BOC riffage. Like mentioned, I'll give it a couple more run-throughs. It might become less "boring."

Not as strong as the last album, but I like it a lot. I love how they take killer metal riffs and mix in super AOR Big 80’s melodic choruses. And of course the humor and aesthetic of the band is awesome. Do yourself a favor and don’t look up what they look like out of costume. Spoiler: They’re pretty KIDS!!

Best song I've heard so far from the new album. It's got a nice driving hair metal-ish rhythm, but with the usual Ghost sound. Would fit in along with "Spillways" and "Dance Macabre".

I definitely like this one, but I think "Umbra" is my favourite new track.
