Anyone else reading this? Been looking forward to it for awhile and just started. I love early-years shit so I love it so far.

None scheduled yet...if there are any it will likely coincide with Exodus' next European run, maybe during the summer festivals ... I'll wait it out until August and then buy via Amazon if no signings happen.

I'm only up to the point of the recording of Bonded By Blood, of course there's plenty about Baloff, about as much as you'd expect I guess.

Can't imagine there is going to be much dirt...

Here's the story: lol

Kirk was my buddy, but he left for Metallica,
Paul Baloff was a drug addled mess, and we kicked him out.
The band had a little late 80s success, but we got goofy and jumped on the Anthrax train of "Fun Metal" and blew it by doing "The Monkey"
Baloff came back for a reunion and then died
I got Zetro back and had another decent run
I fired Zetro and got a tough guy who could imitate Baloff
I got the offer and joined Slayer which was my lucky break until they called it quits.
I started doing Exodus again, brought Zetro back, and had another sorta decent run but now we've fired him again...
I got the tough guy back and now we lost a few steps but are trying to salvage it while I do the odd gig with Slayer...
End of story LOL

sound about right?

Yup, that does sound about right.

I'm guessing Holt did his share of drugs too, esp. during that 1993-2003 stretch where the only thing Exodus released was that (killer!) live album with Baloff.

I guess I could see someone thinking Gary is super boring based on his public persona (or lack thereof), but he's as OG thrash as it gets and has a great memory.

I'm not sure what you classify as "dirt", but I'm about 30% of the way through and enjoying it, but I'm also a massive Exodus/Bay Area Thrash fanboy.

He was hooked on meth I'm sure it's in the book.

A lot of drugs and alcohol. Some vandalism. Not a lot a sex.
Never really made money until he got the Slayer gig in his mid 40s.
Fun read
