Yamal Said, drummer of the Austin, Texas-based rock band Lord Buffalo, was forcibly removed from a plane and detained by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol on Monday while en route to the band’s European tour; he has had no contact with his bandmates for two days, according to a social media post from the group. Said (pictured above, left) is a Mexican citizen but a legal permanent resident of the United States and holder of a green card, according to the post.

As long as I'm learning something, I figure I'm OK - it's a decent day.

As he should have been. As reported in his local Austin newspaper . . . there was a warrant out on him. When you have an active arrest warrant (was violating a restraining order), you do not get to leave the country. Notice how that very key and pesky little fact was left out of the Variety story. We all know why.Turner Coates wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 12:13 pm https://variety.com/2025/music/news/lor ... 236397990/
