Aerosmith ballads

Post by pieceofme »

Aerosmith have released a lot of ballads over their career. And a lot of good quality ones as well! But which is your favourite out of the 10 listed?

I chose 10 of their most popular ones. Sorry if Avant Garden is your favourite Aerosmith ballad. There are a limited number of options available in a poll.

Went with "You See Me Crying" just barely over "What It Takes". Steven just sings the shit outta that one, and the orchestral instrumentation is just perfect.

What It Takes for the vocal.

Amazing for the guitar solo.

Seasons of Wither for the chord progression.

Kings & Queens because it's just cool.

Dream On very good, but probably everyone is tired of it now. I Don't Want To Miss A Thing is just an awful song. Like a dump with little bits of partially-digested green olives spaced throughout it.

And I LOVE Avant Garden. That would have made my list, too. Angel and Cryin' would not.

As overplayed as it may be, I don't see how the answer could be anything but Dream On.

Very few ballads in HISTORY rival "What it Takes." Might be the best ballad of the era. Love that song.

That bridge in "What it Takes"... man oh Manischewitz.

"Tell me that your body doesn't miss my touch..."

Now THAT is a bridge.

"What it Takes" was my first pick. "Dream On" was a close second.

Can't stand any of the three, video trilogy ballads from Get a Grip.

I'm going Home Tonight with You See Me Crying nipping at its heals for the old school era. What It Takes for the "new" school era. Voted Home Tonight though.
