Nothing Ozzy specific.
My dad hated rap. Smart man.
My mother HATED Guns N Roses though. Probably because of the one time when she walked in my room and Axl was singing about kicking that real mother fucker on down the line.

Not really but they thought his antics - bat biting, pissing on the Alamo and the BATM werewolf costume - were stupid.
My uncle thought Ozzy solo was nothing special and pointed me to early Sabbath instead and they became one of my favorite bands with the first five among my all time favorites. I love Diary and NMT too though.

Nope. They thought he was a joke, rolled their eyes and laughed when they looked at my albums, Blizzard of Oz, Diary of a Madman.

I got into and WORSHIPPED Ozzy between Diary and BATM. This was between 6th and 8th grade. Parents (single mom) didn’t care but classmates and teachers at school were very freaked out by him and even metal head friends were cautious about publicly admitting they liked that “devil worshipper.” I took a lot of shit for defending him and wearing my “Ozzy for President” sweatshirt to school.

My dad took my older friends and I to Ozzfest ‘97 (on the lawn no less) when I was 13, so gonna venture to guess he was not afraid of Ozzy.

Zappa is pure cult status shit. He is to music what Bruce fucking Campbell is to acting....

Not really. I was always afraid of Gary Numan. I think I became aware of him watching Night Flight on USA Network. He was just a freaky looking dude.

Hahaha. I was probably in 9th or 10th grade when I first saw him on one of those shows. I didn't know what to think. He didn't fit the 80s British new wave aesthetic.
