The guitarist explained the band’s impact on Oliva’s recovery: “So I think the Savatage thing playing [again] is an inspiration to him. I think it’s the best thing that could have happened to all of us in a lot of different ways. Jon wants to be there. I want him to be there. I was, like, ‘Dude, I’ve never done a Savatage show without you.’ He was, like, ‘Just go play the fucking music.'”

At most you could see a Lou Gramm situation where he comes out for the last 4 songs. He's getting better but still in pretty rough shape. Walking with a cane etc. I would rather see him than Zak, but I just doubt it's going to happen.

As fat as he is Jon needs to do a whole lot more than just come back to life. He needs to seriously lose a ton of weight.

I just struggle with how Jon could be 400 pounds and have a coke habit. Clearly, he's got a LOT of issues.
If playing shows again is what helps him get his act together, it can only be a good thing.
Curious if he's on Ozempic or some other GLP medication to help get his shit together.
