There are some great tracks on this album and l think the release may be somewhat overlooked.

Somewhat, yes. “In and Out of Love” and “Only Lonely” should definitely have been bigger, anyway.

It's my favorite Bon Jovi album. Only Lonely, Tokyo Road, Silent Night...All great tracks.

Really good album.

"The Hardest Part Is the Night" is another great song.

The only song I don't care for is "Silent Night".

Although a good album, you can certainly hear why Slippery exploded and this album didn't.

Also Bon Jovi King of the Mountain > KISS King of the Mountain

Totally underrated. For my money, it's a tie between 7800 and New Jersey as their best album.

Slippery is good but overrated.

Fantastic album.

Too bad Jon basically doesn’t even acknowledge it, let alone play anything from it.

In and Out of Love
Only Lonely
Silent Night
Hardest Part is the Night
Tokyo Road
Always Run to You is a stellar track as well.

Love this record, so of course I said "Yes" when Deadline Cleopatra asked me to sing on their Bon Jovi tribute... 25 years ago!

Damn... crazy to think this is a quarter century old! The details say 2001, wow!

It has some good tracks like Price of Love and Only Lonely, but Slippery is a better album.

It's the same thing with Def Leppard High & Dry going into Pyromania. It's a good record but it was like a building block that led to greater albums and songs.

I've always loved the album but I think it was Jon trying to be more Dokken and Ratt to fit in, then with Slippery he found his voice as hair metal's answer to Springsteen.

My favourite Bon Jovi album!
They really sound hungry and there are no bad songs on it.

Price of Love & Secret Dreams are also good songs.

My favorite album from them overall.

Yes and no. It's not as good as the other Bon Jovi albums of the '80s. But you grow to appreciate it more when you miss that metal influence the band left behind in the '90s.

They needed to stumble with this one in order to make Slippery.

Yes! And it is easily my favourite Bon Jovi record.

Price Of Love, Only Lonely, Hardest Part Is The Night, Always Run To You and Secret Dreams all seem pretty honest and heartfelt tracks. Others are decent too but maybe a bit forced.

The production is the worst of any BJ record I´ve heard though (from debut to These Days but nothing after that).

All of this and In and Out of Love should have been the hit that Prayer became.

I like In and Out of Love but no way does it scream hit single.
