Caught the show this week and it was fantastic. I didn't really expect it to be that damned good. When I saw these guys in the 90s I always walked away thinking they were really, really good but I never left shell-shocked or slack-jawed or anything. Maybe it was the siren call of nostalgia? Maybe it was seeing Angus and Brian in a full NFL stadium? Maybe it was the fact that Angus sacked Brian unceremoniously but he triumphantly returned? Maybe it was because it felt like goodbye? I dunno, but I absolutely loved every second of the 2 1/2 hour show. Brian's voice is obviously not what it once was but it's not as if he was ever a Steve Perry or Rob Halford. He's still one helluva charismatic frontman. Father time has slowed Angus a tad but he still commands the crowd as well. The Frankenstein lineup that Angus has slapped together to tour did their job - they held down the bottom and stayed in the pocket. It was LOUD. LOUD LOUD. Stadium shows are usually drowned out but not AC/DC. The set-list was damn near perfect. If this was my last AC/DC show, and it probably is, I will remember them as fondly as I remember listening to If You Want Blood, You Got It and For Those ABout to Rock on 8track as a kid.

I skipped them at the Rose Bowl. I saw them in 2008. They couldn't have gotten better.

Me too. About 10 years ago was the limit for me on all these bands. Saw Black Sabbath, Maiden, Rush etc around 2012-2015 and knew that would be it for me. They were all still good but at the very end of being good at that point. I no longer have any interest in seeing them still slogging it out but to each their own. It’s especially ridiculous that bands like Foreigner and April Wine and Lynyrd Skynyrd are still out there with no original members charging people premium prices to watch cover bands that sound nothing like the original. People are still willing to pay for that trash so I guess it will never stop. But count me out.

Poor Brian barely hanging on.

Merch still rolling out the door so good for that but I'll stick to my Walmart shirt and listening to Powerage, if I need a ACDC fix.

I wouldn't go to their show theses days, I already saw them back in the 90's and 00's.
