He got what he wanted from DOGE, now he needs to sell cars again.
He hasn't got anything - Losing the EV and energy subsidies would be catastrophic for Telsa. All he would have gained out of getting involved with politics would be devastation to his company if this bill passes - which is what started this whole fight.
Yeah, you're right. I was overlooking the much bigger picture here.
Everything about this feels orchestrated to me but also these are two guys who have no grip on reality whatsoever.
I honestly have no idea why anyone gets involved with Trump at this point. It seems to either end in prison, financial ruin, or an ended career. These aren't his enemies--these are his lapdogs. Just chews them up and spits them out and somehow they're still lining up.
Trump is in the Epstein files!! Ooooooooooo, epic reveal! We're all shocked!
Please. Rat Boy knew this well before getting involved with the Orange Turd and still continued to support him and his shitty campaign. That speaks volumes of Rat Boy.
And when Rat Boy finally admits he helped Trump steal the election, then maybe we'll take him serious.
The reason Elon went nuts is because Trump pulled the nomination of Jared Isaacman, Musk's hand picked choice to lead NASA. This happend the day after Musk left the WH.
This was clearly calculated by Trump. He fucks everybody eventually.

Yeah. Everybody gets into dealings with Trump because they think they're too smart to be screwed over. Then:
-Trump gets everything he wants
-Trump doesn't give the other person anything they expected to get
-Trump drops them
-If they complain Trump goes nuclear and turns his cult against them
Elon thought he was too smart to end up like everyone else. Many such cases.

And also tangles it up in expensive litigation for years. Even if he loses these disputes he succeeds in tying up the money long enough to cut losses through investment dividends earned while he has squatted on the money. I'll bet in some cases the system has aided him in actually profiting from cases he's lost.
Trump comes off like an idiot but he's a master conniver. Trumpies want to utilize this talent of his to their advantage but they don't realize he only does this for his own benefit. Even his funneling money to the mega-wealthy requires a quid pro quo somewhere down the line.
