His groundbreaking fusion of funk, soul, rock, and psychedelia reshaped music and broke barriers. Stand! (1969) and There's a Riot Goin' On (1971) are landmark records.

I couldnt believe it when it said 82. How does a homeless, drugged out crazy person make it that long?

Was just thinking the same. I remember him on the Duff McKagen Dr Phil episode. That was a while ago.
