When the Hairbands Cry

Post by Bono Nettencourt »

Let'em know they're full of shit:

“In the ’80s, MTV buttered our bread. But after Kurt Cobain wore his grandfather’s sweater in the video for Smells Like Teen Spirit, there was no place on MTV for bands like us and Mötley Crüe”
BS. Mane Attraction came out April 91, just like Tuff - 6 months before anyone outside of Seatlle knew who blowbrains was. The corpse was already dead, Kurt and the Gang just buried it.

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

Besides, didn't Tramp say White Lion broke up shortly before Nirvana broke through?

One of biggest misconception in music is that Nirvana killed these guys off.
Happened to some absolutely, but too many others used it as a convenient excuse when they were probably over no matter what

“As much as White Lion were affiliated with that hair metal scene, we found it very embarrassing to see women being degraded. I never wanted to engage in alcohol and drugs and that kind of lifestyle.”
I bet he gets #MeToo'd eventually.

Probably, their last show was a few weeks before Nevermind was released and the Teen Spirit video was released after that.

Nobody would care about him for that to happen.
