Bruce Springsteen has announced the release of Tracks II: The Lost Albums, a massive new collection containing seven previously unreleased albums recorded between 1983 and 2018.

Set for release on June 27th, Tracks II contains a total of 82 previously unreleased tracks, including 74 never-before-heard songs. Among the albums collected in the set are: LA Garage Sessions ’83, featuring songs recorded in the period he developed Born in the U.S.A.; Streets of Philadelphia Sessions, which includes material recorded alongside his Academy Award-winning title track to the 1993 film Philadelphia; Faithless, which was originally conceived for a film project; and a self-described “lost album” called Perfect World. As a preview, Springsteen has shared “Rain in the River” from Perfect World. Take a listen below.

Springsteen said he used the pandemic as an opportunity to finish “everything I had in my vault.” The end product, Tracks II, will be released in a nine-LP vinyl box set and seven-disc CD box set, as well as digitially, on June 27th. Additionally, a companion 2xLP and single-disc release, Lost And Found: Selections from The Lost Albums, will also be available on vinyl and CD on June 27th.

Bruce Springsteen released his first Tracks collection in 1998, featuring previously unreleased material recorded between 1972 and 1998.

Not only was there the Tracks box set but he also released The Promise that was a double CD of songs recorded around the time of Darkness and The River.

Essential has an entire bonus disc of unreleased songs.

And The River Box set had some additional unreleased songs.

I'm curious how much of this (if any) is with the E Street Band. It sounds like it's going to be acoustic Nebraska demos, the follow up to Human Touch/Lucky Town that never came out and them maybe some Tom Joad and some Western Stars as well.

Bruce has said in the past that he writes until he finds an "album" of what he is trying to get across. It seems like he drops a ton of songs and writes new ones to fit what he wants that album to be. It's amazing that all these songs are coming out in hopefully good quality recordings.

I'm glad he's doing this for the diehards at least. I can't believe how many songs he's written!

His shows are just marathons for no reason- his act gets boring after 80 minutes..then comes another 2 1/2 of boredom
Bruce at The Pond best part was strip club after at Sahara Theatre..they had midget stripper(female)
Bruce at Sports Arena best part was strippers (female) at Dames and Games

Springsteen in casket(box) this year
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

LA…you know I love you but some guys just don’t like Bruce. There are lots of people out there that love him.

BS   is good enough..just isn’t Lay Your Hands On Me video fun show…BS

Saw BS 2xs at The Pond..he is not Main Event entertainment..nice middle slot of fun night..songs good- he seems like cool guy- just not close to Lillian Axe Psychoschizophrenia cd or tour fun

BS doesn’t do shows for the groupies - Sports Arena show was 98% future Yacht Rock sensation fanbase

After 80 minutes at Sports Arena I got VIP wristband upgrade..went front row. I watched Max the drummer almost die..he was so exhausted after on stage..like Bruce actually forced him to run a marathon
