Because Joey Kramer was a top tier drummer. In the conversation with Moon, Bonham, etc. Not saying he was top 5 but probably top 10. Walk This Way alone earned him that.

Joey hit hard and could swing like a motherfucker. They sounded weak without him.

They should have never continued if he wasn't up to it. Those greedy ego driven assholes should have all rode into the sunset together.

I don't have any horse in this race as I am not a diehard Aerosmith fan nor a musician, but Steven Tyler got on stage with some small band in a club (I think I'm NYC) maybe 5-10 years ago and they did Walk This Way and it immediately struck me how much the drums sounded completely shitty compared to Joey Kramer.
Honestly, I would have thought any drummer could play that but there was something seriously missing without Joey.

What about the thousands of ticket holders that lost money on hotel reservations, plane tickets, etc when they had to scrap the tour 6 dates in? I said they wouldn't make it halfway and they didn't even make it a 10th of the way. It was ridiculous for them to think they could pull that off at their age. Just have some fucking dignity and let people remember a great band, not a frail old man with heart problems. (Love ya Joe)

Joey Kramer in the same sentence as Moon and Bonham? Only on Sludge.

I could name a top five, top ten, and top fifty without mentioning Joey Kramer.

Aerosmith are overrated as f*ck.

You’re overrated as f*ck! Kramer has that perfect “in the pocket” groove. He wasn’t exactly a virtuouso, but he was perfect for Aerosmith’s sound. Take a seat in the back with risingfarts since you two obviously can’t appreciate the greatness of the ‘Smith!

I agree with that to a point. I was always a Bonham fan. Moon, for all of his faults, was still better than Joey Kramer. I’ll take Phil Rudd and AC/DC’s classic lineup over Aerosmith any day

I think Peter Criss was too busy growing up on the streets and getting into fights to go to high school.
