I remember like it was yesterday. I DVR’d it back then and watched it on a loop. Gilmour was in his own league that night.

Gilmour and the prick and the drummer are still at it, expect a cash grab in 3 years.

No way. They don't need it and don't want it.
Re: 20 years ago next week was Pink Floyd’s last show
They should've played Welcome To The Machine and Young Lust only and walked off stage. Or just played Dogs.
Re: 20 years ago next week was Pink Floyd’s last show
The "Roger Waters vs. David Gilmour" & "Are the records without RW worthy of the Pink Floyd name?" debate is a Sludge highlight for me.
Re: 20 years ago next week was Pink Floyd’s last show
Hell, no. They are Gilmour solo albums. Roger’s solo work sucks too though. More bands should be allowed to die with dignity. With stuff like the Australian Pink Floyd, there is zero reason for the originals to even get on stage again.

Gilmour solo albums, Pink Floyd I don’t care what you call them. They rule
Roger Waters is talented but blows chunks as a person

Re: 20 years ago next week was Pink Floyd’s last show
I love Pink Floyd!
I have been a huge fan of concept albums since I was a kid. Starting with Alice Cooper, Welcome to my Nightmare and Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, The Who's Tommy, later the movie.
I suppose Dark Side of the Moon and even Animals could be considered concept albums, but they didn't really tell the story that The Wall did.
My stepdad would not let me and my stepsister go to that show because the marines a couple of doors down were going to drive us.
They were nice enough guys but our Retired Master Sargent USMC dad thought he knew best, so we missed it.
I saw the movie a few years later when it came out. So good!
And then in 1994, I saw The Division Bell Tour in San Diego.

Absolutely. Both of those albums are great, and both tours were amazing.Tommy2Tone84 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 7:11 pm

Neither of those albums holds a candle to the real Floyd albums. Without Roger It’s like half a band with no lyricist.uwec95 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 8:25 pmAbsolutely. Both of those albums are great, and both tours were amazing.Tommy2Tone84 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 7:11 pm

So did you stop liking KISS when it was just half the original band?

Also, maybe learn what “It’a like” means. it is 3/4 of the classic lineup, but without Roger “it’s like a little icing and no cake”
There is a HUGE hole left by Roger, sorry. They had the brand/name and Gilmour’s brilliant voice and playing, but that’s it. Oh yeah, and lots of lights which were mostly Roger’s concept too. If the law suit over the name went the other way, Roger would have had a decent sound alike for Dave and sold just as many tickets (and unlike 2 of the other 3 members would have earned it). “Pink Fraud” seemed to go out of their way to shit all over Roger’s vocals by making those parts sound like shit.
Roger’s In The Flesh Tour > any Rogerless Pink Fraud tour.
