I would imagine that the only person left in the original MB20 is singer guy.

I saw the tour a few weeks ago. Waite was doing that with a lot of the songs. I get that he's probably bored out of his mind singing the same songs for 40 years,but give the people what they want. Nobody wants to hear a freeform jazz interpretation of Head First.

When I saw Bryan Adams in '04 he pulled that rearrangement shit too. Only 3-4 songs were hits done in original version. Rest of show (headline) was hits done in new arrangements and a bunch of songs no one cared about. Funny thing is the following year he went out with Lep and he got his shit together. All hits and all done right.

If we are talking about giving the people what they want then my request would be to drop that turd of a song from the set.
All others are great and I really liked his stripped down no keyboards versions of these songs when I seen him in vegas last year.. maybe Im just a different fan of his music, but I see nothing wrong with what hes doing..

He's not touring with a keyboard player and doesn't hit very many high notes anymore-- something's gotta give and this is what you get. I saw the show a few weeks ago and he's doing better than a lot out there at his age.

Matchbox 20 just isn't active right now. Rob Thomas is about to start end of summer and fall solo gigs.
