My husband died in January, and he had a miserable death. Breathing tube, feeding tube. He couldn't even speak any final words before he passed. Just blinked his eyes to say he loved us.
Mentally, it was very traumatic and devastating for his mother and I to go through. It is understandable why some would want their loved ones to experience peace during their final moments. We all do.
However, signing off on such a thing is not as easy as it sounds. I would give anything to have my husband back, alive and well, and would have never signed off on his death wish, even if such a thing was possible.
That may sound selfish, but I disagree.

Ozzy's family probably felt the same way. Not my judgment to make, but Ozzy went because he just couldn't go anymore.

Sorry about the personal stuff, but when you lose someone very close, you start seeing things in a very different perspective.
Thanks for listening . . . I love you all

I'm sorry for your loss. I watched both my parents fade away before my eyes, one with cancer and one with sudden heart failure. It's not an easy thing to see I know. Here in Canada we have MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying). The decision belongs to the patient 100% so long as they are of sound mind when the contract is signed and it cannot be overridden by the family unless one of them also happens to be their doctor.

Moron or not but...

I find it very odd the passing so soon after the final gig.

Let's say he got very sick after the event and having lot of pain. I would not be very surprised to hear that the final reason of the death was OD. Voluntary or an accident.

He and Sharon spoke openly and publicly about assisted suicide going back to 2007. I couldn’t delete the thread when I realized he died in England, but mentioning it is anything but “moronic”. I only created the thread when someone was discussing this and I wanted to see what people here thought about it.

When my grandma died they said she died from complications from a stroke but the actual reason she died was they shot her up with morphine and killed her.

So I get suspicious when I read Ozzy died from complications from Parkinson’s.

My condolences TravisBicklesMohawk.

If it was assisted suicide I doubt they would have sent a trauma helicopter...

Read something this morning that RSV was going around the house, so sounds like they're blaming that combined with complications from Parkinsons.

Unless I got it wrong, whatever stupid website was forcing you to sign up for their substack to read the article, so I was just going by the comments.
