Good Doc I enjoyed it.

couple of things that I picked up on is it seems like Christy Brinkley still has some heartfelt feelings for him. I really enjoyed seeing their personal diary stuff from back in the day. She look like she was truly in love way back when and happy.

Number two - and this is int important but it’s abt the progression of his hair. Always try to figure out when people are wearing wigs and at some point you could tell it look like he had some hair help and then in the next clip, he was thin, then severely thinning. Kinda makes me wonder if he’s one of those dudes that went in to get a close clipper cut and then it was just poof - adios.

He's made fun of EJs weave a few times.

Most of these geezers who still have "hair" have had help.

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

I know he said he didn't feel like he had anything left to contribute, song writing wise, so he just wasn't going to do it anymore, but I wonder if he had kept the band together if he would have kept writing?

Or maybe it's the opposite, maybe he knew he didn't have any gas left in the tank, and it was time to end things.
That new song a year or so ago didn't exactly light my world on fire. If I never hear it again it'll be too soon.
I actually really liked that song, but I also understand that it wasn't really a Billy Joel song, it was a song that producer came up with, and Billy agreed to record it.
He did an interview with Howard Stern where he talked about the song. The producer is Freddy Wexler. Look him up. He asked Billy if he had any unfinished songs laying around, so I think Billy did have a part in it at least. Then Freddy finished it with 2 other guys listed in the credits as well. Weird since Billy always wrote his songs by himself but whatever.

Can you believe Christie Brinkley is 71? Shit, she looks great for her age. And, I agree with your observations on her genuinely being in love with the guy and still caring about him today, even though they split up decades ago. Nice to see a divorced couple with a kid moving on with class/grace because we know it very often doesn't work out that way. Good for them.

As for Billy Joel's hair, I think that frizzy/curly hair can be styled or treated to make hair loss look less obvious, but only for so long. I prefer his shaved look to his sometimes touring partner's goofy wigs.

For 71, she looked "good." But her face looked a like a puffed up, botoxed balloon.... but, yeah, 71 is tough on anyone....
I was shocked how much she seemed to care about miserable drunkard Joel -- although their home films together DID look like happy times..

Just watching this tonight.

...and jeezus fucking christ. What the fuck is wrong with these boomer assholes? Guy goes through life fucking over people, proudly telling everybody around him to fuck off like it makes him a big man, then whining about not finding love while leaving a trail of broken children and women who loved him.

It's like...buddy, can you even see yourself???

Boomer rebellion and pride is so fucking stupid and fragile.

Billy is a legend, who has a rich catalog of well written, catchy songs that he can play for us Gen Xers and Boomers for the rest of his life, or he can tell everyone to fuck off and still be enormously wealthy and paid.
