Bret mentioned poison 2026 tour on stage the other night
It was cut off but said new poison stadium tour 2026. I'm assuming he said wrong thing, as everyone assumes headlining sheds.

Sheds are stadiums according to Bert.
Also him saying in the past they are looking at set lists changes means “recycle the last tour”

Will he let CC do a 20 minute solo like old times?

You know, I'd be TOTALLY fine with that. The more CC the better. Hell, have Rikki do a solo as well.
They're a fucking band, not the Bret show. Anything to get the spotlight off him for a bit.

Re: Bret mentioned poison 2026 tour on stage the other night
I'm guessing they'll play some C-market minor league stadium somewhere along the way, so it will be a stadium tour in the sense that they went on tour and played a show at a stadium.
I recently had a conversation with a musician whose band played an instrumental that didn't thrill me as a fan, but his explanation was simple -- the singer needed a break in the middle of the set. I'd never thought about solos in that light previously -- I thought they were ego spots. Given his diabetes, I'd have no issue at all with Bret taking a couple of breaks along the way to let Rikki and C.C. do their things.

Hope they are headlining instead of opening for a Def Lep again or a Journey

Someone wrote support for Poison headlining sheds: Faster pussycat and then La Guns. That person def. joking around or stupid. I hope it's not Twisted Sister but wouldn't surprised, and then an opener before. Tesla like has been mentioned hasn't opened for Poison in almost 40 years, they would be strong support with an opener before them. Faster I don't think has a chance to open this tour, La Guns a minor chance but probably not. Anyone hearing someone different then Twisted or Tesla? In 99-03 a lot more choices.

Re: Bret mentioned poison 2026 tour on stage the other night
Maybe? Slightly OT, I don't listen to the radio that often, but I feel like I have heard Twisted Sisters "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It" more in the last 6 months than I have in the previous 40 years.

You never realized until now that is why bands have solo spots? I thought everyone realized that.Hair I Go Again wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 8:19 am I'm guessing they'll play some C-market minor league stadium somewhere along the way, so it will be a stadium tour in the sense that they went on tour and played a show at a stadium.

Assuming Poison headlines sheds like we believe, who do you see as openers. I'd guess 1 opener, 1 support. Tesla or Twisted Sister I could see as support. Hope not Twisted Sister, not a fan but a household name may help sell tix.

Re: Bret mentioned poison 2026 tour on stage the other night
Live Nation usually likes brands more than individuals, so I'm not sure they'd go for Tom Keifer or Pearcy/DeMartini over Night Ranger or Tesla, even if they'd be a better fit for a glam/hair package (which I'd think would be the obvious direction here, but maybe '80s rock is broad enough at this point that it doesn't really matter).
I know FP and LAG have both done Poison tours in the past, but I'd think that whomever would open would need to be at least an HOB-level act. LAG and FP aren't.

Don't forget having Bobby take a solo doing the Pink Panther theme (extended version).Anthrax442 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 04, 2025 7:18 amYou know, I'd be TOTALLY fine with that. The more CC the better. Hell, have Rikki do a solo as well.

Poison is not taking club level bands out on the road.thunderdan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:14 am Someone wrote support for Poison headlining sheds: Faster pussycat and then La Guns. I wouldn't put it outside the realm of possibility for one of those bands in the small print but I'd say it's someone who's already part of the LiveNation shuffle.ParaDime77 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 2:51 pmPoison is not taking club level bands out on the road.thunderdan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:14 am Someone wrote support for Poison headlining sheds: Faster pussycat and then La Guns. At this point, I’d rather go see PJ and Steve from Trixter play a casino bar.
