At this point anyone going to see these bands are going to see the members more than wanting to hear a prime sounding band.

I love Vince's studio voice, but he has always sucked live going back as early as 1985 on the Theatre tour. I get he is a hundred times worse and hardly listenable, but people are going to see the members more so than the music.

Whatever lost ticket sales, via bad press they get from horrible Vince performances posted to YouTube, would pale in comparison to Motley trying to tour with a different singer.

Tommy, Nikki, and John 5 will put together together do the festival rounds playing their favorite cover songs, including MC songs, and then they'll then bring Motley back in 29' for the 40th Anniversary of Dr. Feelgood after the dust has settled with how bad they are. Assuming Vince is still alive.

Looks like Vince has one more show booked before the residency, it's a Casino gig in St. Louis on the 22nd.

However, unlike the shows the other weekend, this is JUST Vince. No Bret, No Pearcy, no one else to distract the audience.

I would assume that right after that show, he'd be going into rehearsals with Motley.

That predated the heritage rock era. Every time i see a band lower the bar as far as you think it can go (Paul, DLR, Dokken, Britney Fox with no actual members, etc) people still go and say "Ah, it was a fun night out, i got to relive my youth" no matter how bad it is.

Im not saying their draw wouldnt shrink. But I dont think it shrunk when they booted Mick. Mick's not a lead singer. but I think trading the worst famous lead singer in metal for an unknown guy who killed might be a wash.

Right..That is all lies.. Mick even told them in 2019 that those first initial 22 dates of the stadium tour were it for him.. it also didn't help matters that Motley/Sixx hired Phil X to record guitar tracks of motley's lives songs and plug it into the feed as a backing track. i am sure Mick didn't like that either, hence part of why he was soo unhappy that summer during the tour.

Nothing would surprise me. Of course, their preference is for Vince to be in the band at this point. However, a diminished Motley Crue still pays more than anything else that Nikki Sixx / Tommy Lee would go do. Why do you think Mick Mars was replaced? Because he couldn't / wouldn't tour and then the checks stop coming in for all of them. So what did they do? They concocted a story that he willing stepped aside and they continued on.

If you think they wouldn't do this if Vince Neil can't or won't continue on some level, you're kidding youself.

It's the reason so many acts continue to play shows and tour well into their 60s / 70s. It can't be fun at that age for most, but what else pays the bills? How do these guys generate revenue with side projects nobody cares about? They don't. Their best vehicle for generating revenue is with the IP that they created and own.

I don’t understand why anyone would think they need money to “pay the bills”. That’s preposterous. Each of these guys has to have 100 million by now. I’m just a regular fella with half a brain and an office job, and even I have a couple million. And these guys have least 10 earning years on me. Their lifestyle isn’t THAT expensive… certainly not so expensive to have bankrupt themselves.
