Combination is one of the best Aerosmith songs ever put to tape. I'm glad they're playing it.

It's like a new version of Ringo's All-Starr band.

Should have opened with Young Lust and closed with F.I.N.E
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

For some reason this shit works. Really cool to see a lot of great talent on stage working together.

I like STP, Crowes, Aero, but...............
This doesn't work at all.
When Page went out with the Crowes it was cool, but Chris can't sound like Tyler or even anything close.
Why even go out?

Those STP songs are unrecognizable.

They were better off with Cherone. This might have worked...twenty years ago, but I'm not feeling it.

IMO, Chris Robinson actually seems more engaged, compared to the lethargic Black Crowes reunion shows.

Saying nothing for how the performance actually sounded, that is an excellent set list.

Big time Crowes fan here and STP, but I do not like this slow version of interstate love song at all. Not sure why they would even choose that song to play slow. This is more like if the CRB was covering it.

Re: Joe Perry Project Opening Night Setlist
I know I was in the minority but I didn’t think the Page Crowes thing worked. Chris’s voice didn’t cut it imo and the songs sounded stale. Then again, Plant’s voice hasn’t cut it since 1972 so there’s that.

I went to Toronto show yesterday and I enjoyed it a lot. Can't really go wrong with a whole bunch of 70s Aerosmith songs in the setlist, which was pretty much the same except they swapped out Same Old Song And Dance for Mama's Kin

Also, never heard of any Black Crowes aside from Hard To Handle, but Chris Robinson did a competent job handling all the Aero tunes
and the musicianship in general was top notch too.

I really liked that slowed-down "Interstate Love Song." Chris Robinson's voice is working on most of this stuff.

Felt very lucky to hear all these amazing Aero 70s tunes that rarely make it into their regular setlist.
And Joe Perry remains a rock god
Bring it home baby
Re: Joe Perry Project Opening Night Setlist
I was at the Saturday show too.
It really was great man, much better than I thought it would be.
They played REALLY LOUD.
Joe Perry put on a show like he was 25 years younger. Was he ever good. I was not expecting an energetic show from him due to his age and that incident from awhile back where he passed out backstage before (or during) a Hollywood Vampires show. The guy still rips on guitar and you can clearly tell he likes revisiting this stuff that he hasn't played in a long time or that never made it's way into setlists at all. There are some tunes that double certain vocals, his voice was flawless on that stuff, same with background vocals. The man still has it.
Chris Robinson was awesome. He really seemed to enjoy singing these songs. Does he sound like Steven Tyler? No. Do these songs still work when he sings them? Hell yes!!!
The only tune that didn't really seem to work was STP's "Vasoline". Other than that, it really was a great night of music.
Brad Whitford played awesome but didn't do much moving around. He seems to have aged more than Joe but still played extremely well.
The drummer was a late replacement but familiar with most of the material as Joe Perry Projects drummer. Joe mentioned on stage that he was a lifesaver for stepping in last minute.
Robert DeLeo did a solid job on bass and didn't seem out if place at all.
I'm really glad I went to this. May never get another chance to hear this stuff live again.
If you're on the fence I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you go. If you like vintage Aerosmith you won't be disappointed.

I would like to see them add Lightning Strikes and Jailbait to the set list.

Why not No Surprise, Cheesecake and Think About it? At least Brad was involved with those, and Joe may have been as far as he knows.
