What albums are perfection, start to finish?

Post by Metal Sludge »

I have a few.
Aerosmith-Permeant Vacation
Alice Cooper-Welcome to my Nightmare, Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, From The Inside
Skid Row-S/T
Queensryche-Operation Mindcrime
The Who-Tommy Although, I prefer the movie soundtrack to the original Who album.
Pink Floyd-Dark Side of The Moon, Animals, and The Wall
Rush-2112
Michael Monroe-Not Fakin' It
Ozzy Osbourne-Diary of a Madman

There's probably more, that's what I got off the top of my head.
As you can see, I'm a huge fan of concept albums.

What are your favorite whole entire albums that are awesome?

KISS - Dressed to Kill
KISS - Unmasked
Hardline - Double Eclipse
Blue Tears - Blue Tears
Nelson - After the Rain
Bee Gees - Living Eyes

There are plenty that almost make the cut, but with one clunker.

All 3 JHE albums. Masterpieces of sound, not just song.

Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Permanent Vacation, Pump
Rush - Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire
Ratt = Out of the Cellar, Invasion of Your Privacy
Blue Tears - s/t
Slik Toxik - Doin' the Nasty
Fastway - On Target, Bad Bad Girls (probably a controversial take, but I think those two Lea Hart-era Fastway albums are just perfect even with the constant re-recordings by Di'Anno and Stratton)

I’m sure Greatest Hits records don’t count!

Appetite is gonna win this one.

Very happy to see some love for Blue Tears and Hardline! Those albums are classics to me.

I thought the first 3 Warrant albums were all killer except for Train Train.

Outside of that, you gotta go with Bruce and Billy. They had a few records that are great from beginning to end.

I have every Squeeze record and love the band, but think all their records have filler. That FOW record is great, but I like their debut more.

While I’m at it, I’ll also add DL’s Hysteria. It’s just so perfectly polished and produced with that signature Mutt Lange sound.
