In 1991 I had a Trixter shirt. I think I had 2 actually. And a Winger shirt too. Some kid saw me and from across the room he yelled out "Stewart". I thought he was talking about Rod Stewart. I didn't really look like him but I had shoulder length hair and liked his music so I thought it was a compliment... until I got home and turned on MTV.

That was pretty much it for my rock band t-shirt days. I should've kept them at least. I think I gave them all to the Salvation Army.

The Randy Watson tour shirt is a good one. These are the tees that are fun at any age. Also the Who Farted? shirt from Revenge of the Nerds... never grow up.

One is never too old to look stupid in public. It a choice to be made. When I see others look that way, I shake my head. I connected the dots and chose not to look like them. Same goes for checkered vans, Hawaiian shirts and leather "rock" jackets.

I don’t think age has anything to do with it. You can be a professional banker 50 hours week, but still wear an old Slayer shirt to cut the grass. I mean as long as you look good wearing it. If you’re fat and bald, maybe just stay inside.

This is funny, because the night before my middle daughters first communion, her Godmother and I went to see, what we'd call Adler's Appetite now, but Jizzy Pearl was singing, and Kerry Kelly was playing guitar. I don't remember what they were calling themselves then. It would have been June, 2004.
We were dressed respectfully for church in the morning, but the night before may have been questionable.
