I don’t know anything about SOD but this interview is entertaining:

Met him at a convention months ago and he turned his head away when my girlfriend tried to take a picture of him. Then when he signed something he refused to speak or even look at me. Just pointed at the sign that said the price for an autograph before signing anything. It wasn't just me i heard other people say he behaved the same way to them that day.

is this the one where Scott was on the bus acting like a rock star playing a video game and ignoring fans?

The only thing I remember about Billy Milano was him getting ripped apart by Metal Sludge in the early 2000's.

The stories about the early days of metal were awesome, but the interview was unfortunately filled with unnecessary misogynistic comments.

I'm looking forward to the new MOD album.

He was the same way at CHILLER a few years ago.total douche. He is a bitter little man for some reason. I know for a fact his father in law Meatloaf hated him big time. Also I think he is super jealous of Charlie for making all that Pantera $$$$$.

Considering Meat himself was an unhinged MAGA antivax guy, I'm not sure that's a bad thing, other than the family problems it probably caused.

And you're probably 100% right about Charlie/Pantera. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in the band is a bit annoyed with that, on some level.

I wouldn't be surprised if they finally release the new album, and then you see a touring drummer for Charlie, like they've had to do in the past.

Scott seemed cool enough the one time I met him, but I'm COMPLETELY unsurprised about people saying he's a douche. I will say though, I think the reason why that Billy Milano interview didn't make more noise, was because it's Billy Milano. I'm not sure he's your most reliable narrator, especially forty years on.

Same here. Couldn't name you an SOD song off the top of my head, but Billy does an amazing interview.

Scott Ian is an absolute miserable asshole... and that's not just my opinion, TONS of people have pretty much screamed this for decades!

I can't recall seeing much in the way of positive comments, or positive experiences from people dealing with him.

This is across the board, from casual fans to die-hards, and plenty of other musician and industry people too!

I'm surprised Milano didn't call him a filthy jew again.

I sat through way more of that interview than I thought I would. You have to watch it to get the full effect.

Scott was a poor man’s Dave Grohl. Always available for interviews, and sometimes had a fun quote or point. But he has become a c&nt!
I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. These two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

That SOD debut is a 100% bonafide CLASSIC and I don’t even like Anthrax.

Other than the financial reward, I can't imagine Charlie is that crazy about it. He has pretty much 100% creative control of Anthrax and has for 41 years and now he's the paid drummer for a band that used to open for Anthrax when they swung through Texas. Weird.
