Update on Jake E Lee. He was hit 3 times. He was hit in the chest , arm and foot. Bullets missed all major organs except lung. But he is doing well and expected to make a full recovery. This info direct from his manager who I just spoke with. Got very lucky thankfully!

It’s great lots of my great friends, obviously all rockers, live out here. Anyway He was hit 3 times. He was hit in the chest , arm and foot. Bullets missed all major organs except lung. But he is doing well and expected to make a full recovery. This info direct from his manager who I’m also really close with, I actually remember he, Jake, myself, Eric Singer, Mike Tramp, and Stephen Pearcy were on one of the rock cruises I was Emceeing and we were talking about the UFO reissue that just had come out. If someone is 'randomly' shot on accident, that would be 1 shot... fair? If someone is shot multiple times, 2, 3 or more... one would assume they were a "target" of the shooter.

Privacy? The guy has been pretty much a recluse hiding for most of the last 30 years... nobody is out chasing Jake E. Lee for anything... this all doesn't add up.

Multiple shots in that very specific area at that time. And it's not like Jake was covered in Rolexes or looked like high value opportunistic robbery.

There's very very little chance this was random. This was a drug deal gone bad or someone he owes money to coming to collect the vast majority of the time. Slight chance it was someone who had it out for him for another reason.

I’ve lived on a street in Los Angeles for 10+ years that has active gangs and nobody is going to shoot someone and risk life in prison unless it was really something personal or someone owed them a FUCK TON of money….even that is almost unbelievable. I work with a bunch of guys in their 20s and they literally say they only want to listen to songs about murder. 37 years of gangster rap has done its job on a couple generations of men. If Jake or one of his neighbors has a doorbell camera, the cops will have some sort of video of what went down. CSLI will also tell them the movements of cell phones in the immediate area. If they have Jake's phone, all communications are in their hands.

Jake just posted that 15 shots were fired and he was hit only 3 times. That is some godawful shooting. "Drug deal gone bad" does seem to fit the bill of all this stupidity. The fact that there are "details" doesn't seem random, or that he doesn't have his story quite straight yet. Glad Jake survived what could have been a fatal shooting. I've always liked Bark at the Moon, but I'm more disgusted at the idea of just about anybody being needlessly shot. While random shootings do happen - and Las Vegas was the location of one of the worst and most disturbing imaginable a few years ago - as fucked up as it might be, it strikes me as kind of unusual that someone would empty a magazine on a perfect stranger. I'd be lying if I didn't speculate on it being about money and/or drugs, or even a case of mistaken identity where the wrong guy accidentally gets targeted by the attacker. Anyway, I'll wait for things to unfold before assuming the worst.
