Some comments question if it is really VV on guitar, but at least it is a song intended for a 2024 VVI album with the band's current singer. Vinnie’s explanation sounds pretty reasonable (I’ve known plenty of people like the ones he describes). Then you realize who’s saying it and how there is no way it is never his fault when you think of all the well-documented behavior surrounding him. He’s definitely one of the most eccentric “celebrities” out there. There should be a movie about him, not some boring re-telling of the “G&P had a vision and did everything” mythology we’ve heard ad nauseam.

He’s either completely out to lunch or the Andy Kaufman/Kanye of metal.

His hardcore fans are the about the most extreme example of brand-loyalty I’ve ever seen.

Pretty much agree. But there are differences too.

- Ace actually wrote and recorded new music and got out on the road also after 1996. No matter how f*cked up he was, his periods of inactivity were much shorter. From leaving Kiss in 1982 to the Frehley's Comet demos/club shows in late 1984, 2,5 years, and from the last Trouble Walkin' era show in April 1990 to the next solo show in July 1992, about the same. Vinnie was gone longer than Eddie Van Halen.
- I met both of them in the mid 1990s and going by those brief encounters, Vinnie is somewhere deep inside a good person who appreciates his fans. He was genuinely happy to sign the VVI albums and that I told him LIU is the best Kiss album after 1976. Ace on the other hand couldn't care less, a quick scribble and barely a look at the fan who paid to meet him. He seems to be all about the money and couldn't be bothered to even fake appreciation for his fans.

Hey, if a movie about Anvil, a band most current fans of the genre hadn't heard about before the movie, could become some sort of a cult hit, a movie about any Kiss member not named Mark St. John could get some interest especially if the angle is different. The story is good and Swedish national TV attempted something like this in 2016 but couldn't find Vincent (or they said it when he refused to participate). Too bad both his ex-wives are dead. Maybe the daughters could tell something about what day to day life was in the Cusano household and they could drag up someone who actually met him in Mozambique or Sweden during his 1984 world travel.

Says he wrote a script about his life and Spike Lee wants to make it into a movie - only problem is that the script is in his property locker in a different jail so Spike hasn't even got to read it yet. Says its about him seeing his parents being murdered right in front of him in Africa (he was obviously born and raised in America). Says he's a musician and Sony Records stole his master recordings, and that his lawyer is getting a summary judgement from them for 203 million dollars. Then he says he didn't kill that girl - he was tricked into stealing a car with a dead body in the trunk.

This man's ramblings were 1000 times more coherent and believable than Vinnie's. How someone would take what he says as anything other than mental illness is beyond me.
