The fans take things more seriously than the band. I've seen enough clips where Tobias (in character) is saying goofy/silly stuff. Their YouTube channel has that little "series" where it's all kind of comedic. Then you have people like the beer store guy on some people on this board, who are the equivalent of KISSFAQ members.

I saw the tour where he was the “cardinal” or whatever and he was basically doing stand-up comedy as father Guido Sarducci the entire show.

That's what it sounds like on their Ceremony and Devotion (Live) album. "If you don't have someone to fuck...go fuck yourself!!!" I will say those stage raps are 1000x better than Paul's. At least they're worth a chuckle.

The band is very tight, but the vocals are on the annoying side and the pseudo-satanic costume gimmick is lame.

OK I'm not the only one who thinks the new costumes look like they came from one of those pop-up Sprit stores.
