I read the opposite. That Paul brought the song in and Kip said no. Then wrote Without the Night.

The chorus melody and structure is similar. The rest of the song is totally different.
You are probably right. It has been a long time since I watched the video.

Atlantic didn’t work the payola vigorously enough. Miles Away is a number one hit single.

Time won’t forget what you meant to me.… C’mon, ain’t no guy in the room that doesn’t sometimes think of “the one that got away”. That line still hits.
No. And not even close. Even among their ballads, "Headed For a Heartbreak" is vastly vastly superior. And on that second album, "Rainbow In The Rose" is a much better listen for me.

In fact it belongs on a cigarette commercial in Brazil:

“Rainbow in the Rose” is a great song as well. Really, you can’t go wrong with anything off of Winger’s first two albums (except that “Purple Haze” cover, of course).

Yeah that was bad.

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

RITR is epic. Those guys didn’t release a

I liked their cover of Purple Haze better than Ozzy’s at the time. I didn’t think it was that bad. Ozzy’s cover is lame.

Winger’s first three are a trifecta of perfection and far superior to any number of their peers and glam hairband competition from low hanging fruit like Warrant, Bulletboys and Tesla to alleged A listers like Motley Crue, Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot.

Winger’s releases since their reunion have been a big ole bag of mediocrity and misses. It’s a challenge for most bands to recapture the magic

It's alright. It's a great song title.

Under One Condition is a much better song in my opinion. That song deserved to be huge and if the world was a fair place it would've been.
