I'm about to buy a new guitar... as of now, it's between a Les Paul Studio WB and a VGS Stage One Pro. I still wanna try some more models, but those two so far sounded and felt the best.

Indeed. Normally I could never afford one of these. Total ego piece but turns out I'm doing some web and SEO work for a guy in town who carries Trailer Trash pedal boards. We worked out an exchange of services and I got the sweetest board on the planet and a few pedals I've really wanted in turn for some optimization work that should bring him in a giant boost in web leads. This is a 40 X 18 board from Trailer Trash's "Glow Top" line. Be a bit before I have all my pedals ordered and mapped out, then need it wired.....but damn - when you're done with a gig....you just pull 4 wires (Neutric...SWEET), pop on the top of the case, and wheel to the car.

I'd like to open the floor to pedal suggestions. This guy can get his hands on some sweet stuff!

So far on the board -

- EHX Stereo Memory Man (love this frikkin thing)
- BBE Sonic Stomp
- EHX Stereo Pulsar Tremolo
- MXR EVH Flange
- MXR EVH Phase 90
- Road Rage line buffer to prevent signal loss
- H2O Chorus / Echo (undecided on this one....may end up going to a THC Chorus by Homebrew Electronics)
- Polytune Mini (detects tuning of all strings strummed at once. NICE!)
- iSP Decimator noise reduction unit (a hUGE help live)
- wireless top right
- Morley Tremonti Wah
- Ernie Ball Volume
- bottom left - Road Rage True Bypass Looper System. They'll custom make you one with your choice of LED color ordering....I had them build in *tuner out - *bypass / killswitch at the end of the line.

--------

On deck.....
- Suhr Riot Overdrive
- Catalinbread Octapussy Octave Fuzz Pedal ???
- Catalinbread Ottava Magus II

Getting this job was Christmas morning X's Eleventy-billion.
PS - don't hate on my sweet berber carpet!

Gotta do a little setup, too, but it's about 95% good as-is.

It's good. Good to play...I may change the lead pickup to a GFS Retrotron, because I am addicted to the way the mids cut on those pups...when I a/b the V against my guitars with those, they just sound more punchy and focused.

I think i might also reverse the volume knobs...

I still gotta do truss rod/frets/action, but it's pretty sweet so far.

The Epi Vs, G400s and Explorers are all pretty Gibsony for the price. Definitely close enough to work with for the savings involved. Although my Samick SG450 is still a little nicer than my G400 was - that's why I still have the Samick and the G400 is gone. The binding does make a difference on that model, for me. It's just cosmetic, but I just like the look better. They played almost exactly the same - could've been built in the same factory for all I know, Samick does build a lot of guitars for other builders!

Beautiful cabinet! Reminds me of the first Boogies and how freakin' cool I thought they were.

My son sold his Seagull, but if anyone needs a ASchecter Baritone or a totally customized 7 string, let me know.

I just traded in my Tri-OD and got this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwaPs8no3I8

Don't know if I mentioned this, but I recently upgraded my lowline Seagull acoustic for a Washburn with cutaway and electronics.

It's an Augusta WD30SCE

http://www.washburn.com/products/acoustics/augusta/ Click on the model number at the bottom.

I like it.

Anyone recommend a good noise gate/suppressor? I have been playing at really high gain levels lately and have decided I need a noise reducer or active pups. Active pups are not an option at this point.
