Since the demise of the last thread, I figured we could get a fresh start.

I'm selling / trading my Rist Honduran Mahogany Soloist if anyone is interested.

What happened to the old thread?

That's a nice looking guitar.

I just started hot-rodding this Kramer Striker Reverse. Got it for $250 on MusicYo.com and have 1) shaved the neck down so it's fairly thin, 2) replaced the bridge pickup with a Mighty Mite Motherbucker, 3) installed a 2mg volume pot, 4) neck, action and intonaton setup, 5) polished the frets and lubed the fretboard with Fret Doctor.

I saw Tracii Guns last night. The fucker had some tone!

I saw 2 Dr. Z heads, 4 cabs and a combo. Two Les Pauls, a couple Phase 90's and a Floor Pod (?).

We never discussed his gear, anyone have a clue if I nailed it or not?

It's just for geetarded people. What did you get recently? What are you selling? What do you want? What you thought of something, etc...

It was about 20 pages long, but it got zapped.

The Line 6 M13 is an all stomp box, super user friendly modeling multi-effect pedal that sounds totally natural.

I figured you'd be on that one.

I got some WB pick ups... cool.

Got a question for you guys...

Recently bought a Fender '72 thinline reissue, and I've noticed some "yellowing" around the dot markers. The color is almost highlighter yellow and is around some of the dots and in one or two frets it's on a good portion of the fret.

Is there some chemical reaction going on with the poly coating over the fretmarker and the glue used for it?

\\Damnit, no. I've searched high and low trying to get her back. I sold it to some guy named Andy in either South Gate or the South Bay area.

It's been 15 years and I still regret parting with her.

BT, the yellowing is a chemical reaction to air in the finish as I recall. I think Fender will replace it for you.

Did you ever get back the guitar you were having painted? I don't remember seeing any pictures of it. How'd it turn out?

Do you have any good pics of it? I wonder if who ever has it now knows what thay have? I know a few of the Charvel/Jackson collector guys and thay don't seem to know about yours and Spacy's. I have not seen another one. Where these the only 2 made this way?

on another note..... Do you know of any good amp techs that need a job?? been looking but no luck.

In LA SFV close to Glendale. Reeeeaaalllyyy need to find someone.

I have to ask... what made you sell it ?

I used to hang at Waldos Guitars and help out sometimes. I still see Jack and Jason all the time. Jack has a store in Los Feliz now. Jason's at Guitar Center in the back working on the stores guitars.

Isn't there an amp shop on Ventura Blvd that repairs stuff?

I sold that guitar to raise cash to buy my club back in 1993. I had about 20 guitars... a '52 Tele, that proto Solist, a '68 Goldtop, ... oh well.
