It's a Classic Player Baja Tele. Feels like the '52 though.

The only thing I hate about some Fenders... the 21 fret necks.

Don't know if this is the right thread or not, but fuck it.

I recently bought a fully-scalloped neck from Warmoth and put Schallers on it for my '96 Mexican Strat. I love it. (Although the neck cost more than the damn guitar did.)

It took a little while to get used to, but I don't have any of the issues a lot of people say come with scallops (playing chords, easily out of tune, etc.)

Opinions on Warmoth? Scalloped necks?

I do not and will not have a guitar with only 21 frets. I prefer 24 but have a few with 22. It keeps me from being interested in older Strats, thank God! Even my acoustic guitar is a cheap older Rogue with 23 frets. It'd modeled after the Charvel 24-fret acoustics but for some reason only has 23. For an acoustic, that's fine, but i don't want a standard 20-fret acoustic. I have to be able to hit a high E!

Warmoths are among the finest guitar necks made. I've only had one guitar with a scalloped fretboard and didn't keep it long, but the scalloping itself wasn's a big issue. It was just time to move so I unloaded it cheap, as I'd bought it.

Never had a scalloped board, but I like big giant jumbo frets, so that's about the same thing. I just got my first Warmoth neck recently. Haven't had time to work on the build project, so I haven't actually strung the neck up yet. But I can tell from the feel of it, that's a damn fine neck. Mine is maple with a pau ferro board.

I knew Pete Thorn was badass, but his performance of Eruption is fucking awesome. I doubt Eddie could even play it that good anymore.

Warmoths are awesome.

If you're falling out of tune as far as the tuner reads, it an only be tuners/saddles or a winding issue.

If you just sound out of tune, itt's the scalloping / playing heavy on it.

The Fender Classic '50s Esquire? Had one in black. Loved the neck on that guitar.
