Was your collection all in boxes that they just carried out one day? You're describing a TON of stuff - at least 10-12 small shipping boxes that would be VERY heavy and take up a lot of space in a stinky patchouli gypsymobile with an obese harridan inside.

Do they even have a car? Your search radius should be a lot smaller if they walked all that shit down the block in some rattly-ass shopping cart.

You'd have a better chance of recovering everything if they sold it all to the same buyer in a single transaction. Or did they filch 'em by the armload one day at a time?

Every city has some news reporter who specializes in bringing attention to shit like this and trying to help solve the situation. Go to the media. Get it in the local papers. Get a reporter to come to the house. Post about it on all the city Facebook pages. Contact all the local politicians. Put up signs and flyers around town about these people. Rent a billboard. Publicize and shame the hell out of them.

I’ve been tempted to canvas some pamphlets of their gross little prostitution ads, but it’s not just about me. My whole family’s invested in this and we feel like finding a way to finally get them arrested is the best way to get them out the door.

They both have open cases for larsony and ID theft, extortion, conversion, mail theft, but the judge STILL lets them stay in the fucking house.

You rented out a room (or two) and are living with these people correct? If so, it should be simpler to evict them. Not easy but simpler given the house is your primary residence

I'll assume these deadbeats never signed anything when they moved in and its apparent they know how to game the rental laws. My guess is at some point they will sue you for harassment if they haven't already done so.

The owner is responsible for property tax regardless if they live in the house or rent it out. Now, usually before accepting someone a landlord or property manager runs a $30 background check per adult applicant (which applicants pays.) You can run the background check yourself on-line or have a third party do it. Takes a few minutes. This wasn't done. Live and learn.

Also because of the pandemic there were Federal protections laws in place to protect tenants for being evicted for non-payment of rent. However this protection has ended but there are still state and city rent laws.

O.k having re-read several of his post the OP lives in the house which makes it easier to get these borders out. Unfortunately, this story is filled with so much craziness its going to be difficult for a judge to figure out what's going on.

Still, it's the OP house. He owns it. He was renting out rooms and now wants them out. The renters changed the locks without the owner's permission. The OP contacted the police who refused to get involved in a civil matter but if there's a record of the complaint that would help. How about an invoice from the locksmith. An good RE attorney doesn't need much more to get started on tossing these deadbeats out.

I say go ahead and break those landlord laws. They're too broke to hire a lawyer. My friend got locked out of his apt by the landlord without(according to him) due process. Alerted the housing authority and they basically didn't do squat. In the end he was lucky to retrieve some of his stuff before it all got thrown out.

I’m seeing a housing specialist tomorrow at a court, and we already have a lawyer filing suit against all three of them.

The front door has a Schlage code lock, they changed the code. I come home to find my mattresses on the front lawn. They think if they take over my bedroom they can keep me out of the house. They’re violent and vindictive but now they’re gonna be charged with destruction of property and illegal lockout. I can still get in through the basement...dumb fucks.
