The guy said he was one of my dad’s best friends back in the day and could he just crash until the summer? Dad had died two years before of cancer and it’s the family home so what would dad do, heartstrings, tug tug, leave in the summer fine.
I’d also just gotten out of the hospital and couldn’t work for a couple months so I thought a few months of rent would catch us up on shit.

It wasn’t until shit got sour I talked to my stepmom who said dad never trusted him much and probably wouldn’t have taken him in.
