I'm the (so far) lone 2-5. I like how they look, and both I have mean something to me - no random ink for the sake of random ink.

I'm the lone 5+. I began getting tatts in the early 90s before they became a hipster thing. I have full sleeves on both arms, back, back of neck, and chest, and a couple on each leg. Most of it is black and gray shades (only 1 color piece). I don't think about them or care what others think. They've not hindered my career, and I don't care if they look like they're melting when I hit the age that my skin begins to sag.

Yes, 1.

But I had the good sense to get in on my back so that I don't have to see it each day in the mirror.

I've seen so many fugly tats in the last few years I was seriously considering launching a tat removal business, but found out you need to be a doctor here in France to legally operate those laser machines. Apparently, in the US all you need is a quick and painless medical hygiene certificate/training...

American woman, stay away from me.

The new uniform: purple hair, nose ring, yoga pants, spare tire, fat ass and faded purple tattoos on the calf or upper back.

Lately, large leg tattoos are becoming a thing. Yuck.

The new trend among younger girls appears to be mini minimalist black tattoos scattered on the inner forearm or behind the elbow.

It's the titty chandelier. The stupid whateverthefuckitis between and below the tits. Meaningless scribbling on the first thing to go on a woman. Smart.

Also, yeah, I don't know when the nose ring started being issued to every white girl on Tinder, but enough of that dumb shit, too. You'll look like a cow soon enough, no need to rush things.

These are everywhere here in France, except it's not just the inner forearm, it's all over the arms, sometimes 5-8 of them, with a few around the ankles for good measure. Just nonsense bullshit tattoos, they're ugly as sin, probably gotten on a whim.

People have been saying this for the last twenty years. People are only getting more convinced that they need to manufacture their personalities through tattoos. We aren't going to see the end of this trend in our lifetimes.

Uninked and proud of it. I don’t want nor need a tattoo. Just a complete waste of money to create a fake personality, as Mojo stated above.

No tats.. not because I'm anti. Mainly because I don't know what I'd want on me permanently, never pulled the trigger, and now I'm 35, so i feel like I'm passed that part of my life.

nothing funnier than listening to a guy explaining his tattoos to women at a bar. Yeah this one represents my inner struggle blah, blah, blah.
One or two tats sure, anything more than that is just someone screaming for attention or trying look tough & cool. Just my opinion. Too each there own.
If you like Tats and want lots of them, have at it. Anyone who get a face tattoo or a neck tattoo is a complete idiot. Nothing more depressing then seeing a smoking hot chick covered with tats, what a turn off/

I'm way past the age of chatting up women in bars (plus, I've been married since 1989). I got my first tattoo in 1990ish, and I've never spoken to anyone about any of them beyond someone saying "Like your tattoos". Yeah, thanks. Most of them have a personal meaning and a couple are goofy, but yeah, explaining that to someone else is cringey. I didn't set out to be covered, but some body parts got that way over the years.

Since I began 30some years ago, I have preceded the "look at me" thing. As I said above, although I'm double-sleeved and then some, I don't see them I'm so used to them and never think about them unless it's a thread like this. I DO like them, but I have no inspiration for another and may never have.

I don't think people even bother trying to justify their tattoos with meaning, anymore. The point isn't the meaning of the tattoo, it's having a tattoo. That's why it's extremely rare for someone to just have one and be done. It's all sleeves and back pieces and full chests, etc. It's about the look of being tattooed, rather than the individual tattoos.

I love looking at shit tattoos. Find them hilarious. Check out this moron who covered himself in Breaking Bad tattoos: https://www.reddit.com/r/TattooDesigns/ ... _thoughts/

He gets rightfully roasted in the comments. Pretty funny.

Tattoos on women are the fucking worst. Absolutely loathe it. I don't care how expertly applied they are, they make women look like trash. On men, I'll just assume you're not particularly visually literate or capable of making educated choices.

None. I don't mind them, but I have never seen the appeal of them. I have never seen a girl and though "she would look a lot hotter if she had a sleeve of tats".

I have most of my full arms covered, and my upper chest, and one on my leg. I started when it wasn’t “cool”, and most girls that had them were thought to be bikers or lesbians. I really couldn’t give a shit what anyone thinks, or if anyone has any or not.

I feel like most of these tat-infested peeps have never had a large ugly noticeable scar on their body. They would treat the rest of their skin as sacred.

Wow, never gets old. Grown up people talking shit about others because the way they look. Really classy.

If you have kids, hope you don’t talk this way in front of them and teach them to be bullies.
