Gary Barden is excellent here.
The second MSG album is best. I quess this was after their first one (that being a good one too)

I got that. The 1st is better by a country mile.

“Assault Attack” is their best album. You KNOW that.

Not sure I completely agree with that statement but this is my favorite MSG song with unarguably the best guitar solo ever recorded... https://youtu.be/580Hw44hQO4JinglesTheChristmasMouse wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 3:39 pm

MSG (1981)
After a good first impression they really made it with this second attempt.
Ready to Rock - perfect opener
Attack of the Mad Axeman - a steady regular in the set list
On and On - fan favourite, hounting melody with the legendary outro
Let Sleeping Dogs Lie - they just can't make these anymore, a riff you hear once and never forget
I Want More - another good melodic one in the style of On and On
Never Trust a Stranger - a brave thing to include this out-of-the-normal-concept great ballad (like No Substitude with Vinnie's Invasion).
Looking for Love - a typical Barden/Schenker collaboration here. Not classic but not bad either
Secondary Motion - another typical one, good quitar work here.
Overall = MSG at it's peak
