Travel the world with Geoff Tate....for a fee

Post by plasticbastard »

Apparently Geoff has a travel company.
A week in Montana is 3000. What a bargain.

Awesome! Should come with a tagline: "It's the adventure of a lifetime! For just $3000 you, too, can become an experience Geonkie!".

What a great reminder of why I usually prefer to travel alone.

Also I like how the very first sentence after the jump has a typo. “The Pacific Northwest has a little bit everything.”

I don't want to be mean... but anyone who would pay for this... is a HUGE F'ing moron... x1M!

Matter of fact... anyone who pays anything to travel with any celebrity in this fashion needs to be separated from ALL of their money!

I was SURE this was going to come up at some point... lol.

I would really like to believe, going on a Cruise (vacation) with your wife, GF or friends, for a week and seeing a few dozen concerts is vastly different than Tate's nonsense.

I looked at his site for this previously...

In short... fans pay an over inflated cost to go to some Wine vineyard, and sit around with Geoff while (you pay his way) for him to order food and wine to a table.

The 2 are NOTHING alike.

Wow, this is like Cameo on steroids! 3 grand for 6 nights accommodations, breakfast and dinner sounds reasonable to me! Seems like Geoff is a glorified tour guide for these trips. I could picture Anthony Bourdain (RIP!!!) doing something like this or someone who was known as a traveler. I don't know about Geoff though. Seems odd.

I'm holding out for "spend the week with Margot Robbie for 3 grand".

I wonder how he deals with annoying superfans wanting the intimate details of the Warning sessions. He probably has a short phrase he says right off the bat to avoid being trapped in those conversations.

I'm not a big fan of meeting or hanging out with celebrities, but I can see how spending a week with an ex-rock star could be a dream come true for some. If you're a die-hard fan and have the money to spare, then $3k is a relatively small price to pay for the experience, especially if this is someone you're comfortable spending time with.

I would never travel with a group of strangers. I don’t care if it’s a big celebrity or not. When I travel, it’s low key with loved ones taking in a city. A trip like this would absolutely suck.

Uh....Yeah well I guess his bank account is going down or something to start this stupid shit. This was probably Susan's idea, she's making him do it to fund her lifestyle.

I was backstage in Dallas during the Empire tour and I crossed paths with Mr. Tate. You are much better off not meeting him, at least from my experience.

I met Tate at a signing event in the 90s. At the time he seemed pretty chill. No way in hell would I pay for this though.

To think you all made fun of drunk Jani Lane flipping burgers and frying fish at Billy’s Roadhouse Dive Bar and Grill. Atleast drunk Jani got a respectable side hustle.
