I guess everyone here is too cool to say the obvious - Nevermind by Nirvana. It's the one with the best songs and that always wins.
It comes down to personal preference.
I think Incesticide contains the best Nirvana material. Gimme "Dive" and "Aneurysm" over anything on Nevermind. Just my opinion.

yes, too cool to not worship ‘NeverMind.’
Same reason I don’t daily listen to 90s Aerosmith or nickleback.

In Utero & Vs. are the only "grunge" cd's I still crank.

Candlebox is just slightly more grunge than Trixter...
Yeah even STP and Silverchair laff at them...

obviously you take this way too seriously and were deeply affected by what transpired in the early 1990's and hopefully you are discussing these issues with a therapist in addition to other fans on music message boards.

Exactly. It's not because they are too cool that not everyone has Hysteria as their favorite Lep album or the black album as the best Metallica album.
Thinking about it, Nevermind is to Bleach as Hysteria is to High'n Dry. Jason Everman and Chad Channing were the Cliff Burton and Pete Willis of Nirvana

Yep. I prefer Pearl Jam. Always have. And the dingis who said they're not grunge must be seeing pink elephants again.

I agree. I'm a bit burned out on Nevermind and rarely listen to it but that album was an absolute game changer.
I really don't understand what grunge is. Most of the grunge bands really don't seem to have much in common with each musically. A lot did try for the flannel look, but there was still a lot of diversity in their appeance.
Some came from Seattle iand they "acted" like they were against "hair" metal. Outside of that and the drugs, I don't see much of a common tie between the bands labeled as grunge.
Also, why does everyone say were no guitar solos in grunge? There were plenty. They just pretty much all sucked.
Is Sponge a grunge band?
