California, what’s up with the hurricane?

Post by ParaDime77 »

Hopefully all of the CA/NV/AZ Sludger’s are preparing and being safe for what appears to be quite a weather event. What’s everyone’s status?

By the time it hits Vegas, it'll be pretty weak, but it's raining pretty good right now, which we always need. It's fun listening to it at home. I just hope the homeless "mole people" living in the tunnels don't drown! You need a lot of $20 bills to make a raft.

I saw Chicago a like a month or two ago with my parents. It was sort of good. I like some Chicago songs. They’re pretty good live for being old geezers. I was the youngest person there wore a cool GnR shirt. Will you be wearing a cool shirt that night?

Stadium Swim will be perfect place to watch all homeless come up from the underground while the Vegas tunnels get flooded! This is way better than Slam Ball. Put this on ESPN! With commentary and pre game analysis! Post show interviews!

Is there anyone here familiar with, or who has read about Slab City, the squatter's town for homeless folks and low budget snow birds, near the Salton Sea in California?

They might get washed off the map if forecast predictions are correct.

My sister-in law lives in LA and just got back from Maui, where she had to evacuate to another island. Who had both devastating wildfires and a hurricane within two weeks of each other?

It's been raining steadily in North Hollywood since 7:00 AM. But there hasn't been any wind.
It's 7:12 PM now and it's raining pretty hard, but still no wind.
We had a little earthquake at about 4:15 PM. That was weird. I don't remember ever having an earthquake when it's raining.
So far, no wind, thunder or lightening. Pretty sure this is not a hurricane or tropical storm or whatever. It's raining, that's all.

It is the same here in San Diego, except for the earthquake. I have walked my huskies twice and they appreciated the rain bath after a few hot summer weeks…..it got a little windy at about 7:10 PM, but nothing major.

I cooked a batch of home made salsa, and the Serrano chilis were spicier than this storm so far.

For California, isn't that like the equivalent of a major Hurricane anywhere else?? :D

But glad it doesn't appear to be as bad as they said it would be
