I saw this a few weeks ago.

Having completely different setlists on both nights was great but was really disappointed in the stage show.

First, they only used pyro/fire on one song both nights.

Second, the screens aren't big enough. Small circular screens that sit on top of the speaker towers. They're just too small.

Third, the stage didn't seem to work very well. Playing in the round it seemed like they made the stage bigger than it needed to be. Just something about it doesn't work.

I enjoyed the Hardwired tour set up way more. The entire stage was a massive screen and they had quite a bit of fire/pyro.

For the prices they are charging to see these shows you aren't getting much bang for your buck. It almost seems like they did it on the cheap. Not sure why.

The stage show is lacking.

KLOS just announced "production tickets including floor seats have just been released" Are they having trouble filling up SoFi for 2 nights? A friend of mine was having trouble selling tickets for both nights for $50 each night.

I went to MetLife and 8th row in the 100's section. Literally 8th row aside from the field. I felt like I was a million miles away. The screens were on these giant towers that blocked the view. There was a TON of space on the floor. It literally felt like I wasn't even at the show. Bad concert experience.

Having said all that...the band was great. I even enjoyed Ice Kills Nine and Five Finger Death Pump. I'm pretty sure they were comedy acts. Very entertaining.

Dangerous Toys had heavy rotation back in the KNAC days, good stuff, almost moved to Long Beach for better signal, glad I didn't do that (did wind up in San Pedro for a while after KNAC went latino though)

Last Metallica concert was '89 in Seattle, never seen them with the new guy lol

Metallica is headed my way in a couple months, kinda want to see the first night.
More I thought about it I’m glad I didn’t get tickets.
I’ve seen Metallica 6 times and it was always damn good/great, also think the new album is alright.
That said, I’m fine if I don’t see them again, especially in a stadium. Sure it will be a fun night.

The floor looks half empty at some shows but each jurisdiction is different for how many square feet per person. They built the stage and added more floor tickets, very common everywhere.

The tour is doing fine. There are just too many tickets available.

The thing is the 2 night thing is great for the hardcores, but ... setlist spreadsheeters with OCD are a small part of the equation, doing a no repeat setlist doesn't automatically double their draw.

Personally though the stage is terrible I thought they sounded great at the TX shows (movie theatre). The relaxed schedule, trimming the fat down to 2 hours and spreading out the most tedious must plays over 2 nights makes it flow a lot better.

Also there is just a glut of events this summer, this weekend. And $80 parking!

I had VIP Snake Pit for both NJ Shows. It was awesome. I was comped by the band which also included access to the Friends and Family Lounge. My experience was excellent but I could see how others wasn't. I've watched a lot several videos of concert goers reviews on you tube and I can see their point when complaining.
