D-level hair metal that somehow got a record deal with Warner Bros for their debut in '91. Anybody here remember these guys? The two singles posted below are actually pretty damn good. Apparently they changed their band name and released a second album in 1993 as--get this--TV in Flames! And the album was titled Drool! What kind drugs were they smoking when they came up with that one?

Re: Radio Active Cats
I own this CD and it's pretty good, but it's not hair metal at all. Kind of a Stray Cats vibe wrapped in a hair metal package. "Bed of Roses" could have been a hit.
I also have that TV in Flames record and I think it's better than the RAC stuff. "Love in Motion" got some minor radio play in these parts and "Big Red Train" is rockin. Both are worth checking out if you looking for something new to discover.

It's hard for me to get used to these changing times. I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.

Re: Radio Active Cats
The Stray Cats comment above is correct, their sound is a mix of hair metal with a little Rockabilly/50's rock. Both the akbums, Radio Active Cats and TV in Flames are worth checking out. The guitar player is really good/unique for a D level hairband.

Re: Radio Active Cats
I found my copy of Radio Active Cats for $2.
It doesn't surprise me if Promo CDs of either the RAC or the TV In Flames albums outnumber actual retail copies.
By all appearances, both albums were released straight to cutout bins.
