Aerosmith postpone tour for 30 days!

Post by JackieDaytona »

Well that was fast. Only after 3 shows. I actually thought it would be 7 shows before some shit went down. I owe that fucker Colin Robinson a pint now.

My advice is if you have a death pool, these guys are your top draft choices.

Aerosmith just put this out:

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.” - Steven Tyler

RESCHEDULED DATES:
Monday Jan 29 2024 – Detroit, MI – Little Caesars Arena
Wednesday Feb 14 2024 – Chicago, IL – United Center
Saturday Feb 17 2024 – Washington, DC – Capital One Arena
Wednesday Feb 21 2024 – Toronto, ON – Scotiabank Arena
Monday Feb 26 2024 – Raleigh. NC – PNC Arena
Thursday Feb 29 2024 – Cleveland, OH – Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.

I hope everyone is ok, but Joe Perry looks seriously ill.

Rumor has it there's a fill in for Tyler waiting - Allegedly of course................

The tour a year or 2 back was uninsurable, again allegedly.....

These final stretch tours are a gamble. Perry, Tyler, Simmons, Stanley could croak any day. Live nation will loose a bundle if any of the above happens before the end of the year.

He looked seriously ill on the Today Show 5 years ago.

Here I thought I was in the clear for Friday night.

By the time February rolls around, I'm sure there will be something else that postpones the show again.

I honestly don’t care about other city’s weather since it’s always great in SoCal even the “winter” no worries leaving the crib

Rescheduled dates now during Hoth season for those city’s?
Hope Aerosmith bus has double heat on

That's karma, for cancelling their recently rescheduled European tour.

Yeah, his bleeding vocal chords will be ready to roll in a month. Please. Gives them time to get used to the tapes full time. He was already using pre-recorded vocals for at least the scream parts. Really no other option if they supposedly want to drag this out for two years. They won't cancel as long as one of them doesn't croak onstage and then they will just delay around the funeral or pull a Sharon and just leave the dates booked and keep moving them around while collecting interest. They're at least getting these US shows in no matter what.

I have no sarcastic Sludge comments here. It's sad reading all these comments! I don't want my heroes to die. So many of them are in their 60's and 70's now. Rock & Roll keeps you young, but nobody gets out alive...

I'm sure there's a singer from a Filipino tribute band who would jump at the chance.

We have probably seen the last of this permanent A list group on tour. Yes, I know they postponed for medical reasons, but it really is about the singer needing rehab and not really wanting to go and just wanting to live his life.

That could certainly be true but Crazy Days And Nights does have a lot of bullshit on it and he was sued recently too for a blind item (https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/diana- ... 235655811/). Even with a lawsuit he still remained anonymous publicly, so he's still running his page like old school Metal Sludge.

When Aerosmith canceled shows in Vegas in 2022, they announced and admitted that Tyler went to rehab for pain pills, so if he needed rehab again, I'm not sure why they wouldn't just admit that again. It wouldn't really shock anybody. It also wouldn't shock me if he did blow out his voice because he's 75 and he's trying to scream and sound like Steven Tyler, and it might not be possible for him to pull that off a couple times a week.

They would be completely fucked if they have to cancel for addiction. No insurance coverage. We can safely say that this tour will not be extended beyond February at least. They were high-risk booking to begin with and the premiums are only going up.

TMZ is reporting that his vocal cords are mangled. If he was in rehab, I'm sure they wouldn't be covering up for him.

"We're told the injury occurred early on during Aerosmith's concert, but he powered through his entire set, including "Dream On," where Steven hit his famous, glass-shattering note in the song's climax. The audience had no idea he was severely impaired."

The pre-recorded scream mangled his voice?

"Vocal chord injury" is total B,S.. And you guys jacking it raw with your "Tyler powering through" are clueless in regards to singing/vocalists.
