Yes. The debut had the big hit and some great other songs besides, but II took it a step further, with much better production too - especially those powerful, pin-sharp drums.

That said, in general singers who swallow their words annoy me, and II has a prime example. I've never been able to take Killer Wolf seriously: "I'm the wauw-wauw ... I'm the killer wauw" etc.

I went with III. First two are great but the third really feels like the one that truly captured the Danzig sound as it were. That gothic bluesy metal thing.

I really like Danzig 1 and don't recall at the moment any specific songs from 2, but I do remember, as a whole album, 2 hitting all the right buttons on me at the time I first listened to it. Gotta go with Lucifuge.

From what I recall, 3 was pretty good.

Haven't gotten around to 4 yet. Yeah...I'm a few albums behind.

Agreed, but the the first Danzig album does have "She Rides", which is just as good as any Misfits song.

4p is awesome. It’s got a vast range of tempos and the production is better than the first three. I like all of them, but 4p is what I listen to the most since it came out.
