I'm not sure what you guys are expecting from Dave in 2023. This is right along line with everything else he's put out recently.

I'm just annoyed I can't buy a copy on cd/vinyl of all this stuff.

My point still stands. Go back to Diamond Dave in 2003. Nothing on that album was Van Halen-esque. What in his solo career over the last 20 years makes you think he's going to be releasing something more mainstream?

They hyped up that John 5 stuff like it was the holy grail but everything that's come out of those sessions has been total shit...

I thought there were two things worked on with John 5, an "acoustic" record and a record that sounded like VH II. Is it possible that nothing that was from the VH II record has leaked/been released?

At the risk of being labelled someone that would prefer to be kicked in the balls to getting a beej, I quite liked that. I'd have no problem putting on a full album of this acoustic stuff he's been releasing.
