New Stones this Friday - What's Your Plan?
I pre-ordered the Vinyl (arriving Friday) and will be listening Friday night front to back. Have really liked what I've heard so far and look forward to hearing how they intended for it to be heard.

It'll be my birthday so I plan on smoking a bowl, eating cake then my woman, and listening to it a few times on repeat.

This Friday? Grocery shopping and coffee in the morning, go for a run in the afternoon, read, listen to music...
I need to get Mocambo '77 and the Brussels Affair before I even think about getting this new album...

Just a guess, but I think they'll do something to promote the album on SNL. Maybe just a video clip or a surprise cameo appearance.
Maybe Mick will guest host.
I reckon all songs are folk songs. I ain't never heard no horses singing any.

I'm looking forward to this. I enjoyed the first two songs, and they are growing on me. Here's hoping it's the best Stones record since Tattoo You, which may be remotely possible considering what they've released since then.

Haven’t got round to buying any of the previous 31 studio albums, 13 live albums, 28 compilation albums, 3 extended plays, 122 singles, 31 box sets, 51 video albums or 2 video box sets yet, so I probably won’t be getting this.

I can tell you about every sloppy edit, missed cue, splice, overdub and bass drum squeak in any Beatles song ever recorded. Just never got into the Stones.
I know more about Buddy Holly than the Stones.

Re: New Stones this Friday - What's Your Plan?
They've released way more live albums than that, at least 33 if you include their "official bootleg" series. I have a few, they're great (Some Girls: Live in Texas '78, Hampton Coliseum (Live 1981), L.A. Friday (Live 1975))...BernieTaupson wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 6:33 pm Haven’t got round to buying any of the ...13 live albums,... so I probably won’t be getting this.

I like what I've heard so far, but hasn't every Stones album for the past three or four decades been billed as the best Stones record since Tattoo You or Some Girls?

I'll be streaming and will probably find 4 to 5 tracks for the playlist. Hopefully the first two singles are the worst of the lot. Two listens is more than enough for both of them. So far it feels like solo Mick, but glad to have new tracks to go through.

No plan. I will listen to one new track a week as they come up on my Spotify Release Radar Playlist, which is most of what I listen to these days...
