I always wondered what that Oates ever added to the songs. In the videos he was just standing around and never really played his guitar.

Oates sang lead on "She's Gone" and "Possession Obsession" for whatever it's worth. The duo built their act on old-school Philly vocal harmonies, but Hall had such a distinctive voice, he couldn't help but stand out.

You have to credit both of them for going with what works.

Italian Girls too, that one’s underrated.

They're nearly a week late on this "breaking news," but the Today Show took a break from daily Taylor Swift coverage to do a story on the Hall & Oates mess this morning.

Then at the end, they found a way to make it about Taylor Swift, mentioning the legal issues with her old label.

Allegedly the story is, John Oates wants to sell his portion of his catalog and Daryl Hall is blocking the order of doing so.

A greedy, self-centered, money-hungry rockstar? No way! Who'da thunk it?

I wonder what the big deal is - Their music is already licensed out on several commercials.
